It features TTL function and will work on Nikon i-TTL mode.

Function: 1)TTL mode, the metering system of this camera will detect flash illumination reflected back from the object so as to automatically control flash output in this mode. 5)S2 Mode, it is very similar to S1 mode, but it can support the master flash in TTL mode. In particular, if S1 mode cannot have correct and synchronous flash with the inbuilt flash, you can try to use S2 mode.

6) Test mode: Press the PILOT button to test if the flash-light flashes normally. In M/S1/S2 mode, the test flash will send light with different luminance per level of output selected

Note: When it is used in incompatible iTTL/ETTL camera, Function 2, 3, 4,5 and 6 are not available.

The build quality and ergonomic not only matches the original equipment, there are some added functions on the higher end products that are designed with the professionals in mind. The extra features are not available either from the original equipment or the other battery grip on the market. The S model (Standard) provides the same function/capability as the original equipment. It can take up to two Li-ion battery or 6 to 8 AA batteries (depending on the model) to provide extra power reserved for longer shooting time. Depending on the camera design, some can also increase the continue shooting speed. There is an extra vertical shutter button to provide easy operation when shooting in portrait/vertical position.
